Symposium

Each Spring, ELR hosts its annual Symposium on current trends and topics in entertainment. The themes of the Symposium vary every year and topics tend to focus on what is happening right now in the industry, ranging from intellectual property, digital streaming, corporate work, and of course, film and television.

In addition to interesting themes, the Symposium is a full day of panels from industry leaders sharing their insights with fellow attorneys and students. Each panel is specially chosen by our Executive Board and moderated by one of our editors. The panelists come from both the legal track as well as from other areas of the industry so that a holistic view can be demonstrated to those in attendance.

MCLE credit is offered to those who register, and the event days end with a networking happy hour. In the past, attorneys and students have developed their network with other attendees, with many of our students securing internships thereafter. The annual Symposia offer valuable insights into the current state of the entertainment industry, and ELR is proud to host such a dynamic event for students and professionals alike.
